WITNESSING WELL
DO YOU EVER STRUGGLE WITH WITNESSING?
WE CAN WITNESS WELL THROUGH…
1.THE WORKS OF GOD (Psalm 19:1-6)!
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.
THE N.T. APPLICATION FOR US: For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10).
Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done -(Romans 15:17-18).
2.THE WORD OF GOD (Psalm 19: 7-11) The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commandments of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever.
The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey; than honey from the honeycomb.
By them your servant is warned; in keeping them is great reward.
THE N.T. APPLICATION FOR US: For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God (1 Peter 1:23).
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and morrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
3.THE WRETCHEDNESS OF MAN (Psalm 19:12-13)
But who can discern their own errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
Then I will be blameless,
Innocent of great transgression.
THE N.T. APPLICATION FOR US: Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life” (1 Timothy 1:15-16).
I persecuted the followers of this Way to their death, arresting both men and women and throwing them into prison…” (Acts 22:4).
GOD’S FORGIVENESS AND OUR TRANSFORMATION: And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment” (Zechariah 3:4b KJV)
CLOSING BENEDICTION: PSALM 19:14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
